Let me find out how much you have revised. 
In the given sentence below, find out Common Noun, Proper Noun and Collective Noun.

In December,people celebrate Christmas; they invite their friends too.

Now, today, in this blog you will be able to:
explain the function of an abstract noun
identify different abstract nouns in a sentence
write explanatory sentences

You are now familiar with three types of nouns: Common, Proper, Collective .

The type of noun you will learn today is the ABSTRACT NOUN.
Confused !! Must be thinking what kind of a noun it is!
First, let us become familiar with the word Abstract.It means-
an idea,feeling,or quality and not a material object.

Watch the video to be more clear about it.


You must have now clearly understood about this noun.

An abstract noun is the name of some state,quality,feeling or an idea.
We can only feel or think but cannot touch or see.
It is usually used in the singular.


Read the following sentences.

1. Her face was full of joy.
2. Love is kind.
3. The length of this road is just two miles.

The underlined words are showing,feelings, quality,idea.

Its time to do some Class Work. 

Take out page no.15 and start doing exercise E, in pencil only. 


                                             

Those boys who do not have the text book, do this exercise in your English language notebook.
